All About Me

In August 2021, after a three-year journey with illness, my beloved husband Brad died. I was by his side through every moment, and by his side when he took his last breath. His passing became both the most profound heartbreak of my life and the foundation for the work I now do through Caring Hearts Support Network, created in his honour.

My grief journey began long before Brad’s death. The lessons I’ve learned over these years continue to shape me: that grief is unpredictable, that love endures, and that the sun eventually finds its way through the clouds. Some days are harder than others, but healing often comes in moments of unexpected comfort and connection.

I have been privileged to support many individuals and families navigating their own grief. Through this work, I’ve learned that no one should have to walk this path alone. Caring Hearts Support Network exists to provide a safe space for those facing loss or caregiving, where stories can be shared, feelings validated, and hope gently nurtured.

My professional background includes hospice and palliative care work (Advanced Fundamentals of Palliative Care), experience in the funeral industry, and formal education in Death, Dying, Grief, and Bereavement through King’s College at Western University. Most recently, I completed End-of-Life Doula training with Henry Fersko-Weiss, the pioneer of the first end-of-life doula program in the United States.

It is my honour to share both my training and lived experience with others. My deepest wish is to help people live fully until they die and to offer peace, compassion, and companionship during life’s most difficult transitions.

In honour and gratitude to my husband Brad, I carry his memory forward by walking beside others on their journeys with love and care.
